Important Info about the closure of the WoodJeff parking lot
In April, FSU Transportation Services hosted open-dialogue town hall meetings to discuss proposed plans that address the closure of the WoodJeff parking lot. In accordance with the University’s Campus Master Plan, this lot is scheduled to close permanently on August 5, 2013 for construction of the new Dorman and Deviney residence halls.
Based on feedback received from the University community, the final plan is as follows:
- Construction of new Palm Court lot at the corner of Call and Macomb as a Student (W) lot (140 spaces)
- Construction of new Conradi lot as an Employee (R) lot (130 spaces)
- Conversion of the 1st floor in the Woodward Garage to Employee (R) parking (134 spaces)
- Conversion of the 1st floor in the Traditions Garage to Employee (R) parking (125 spaces)
- In order to accommodate occasional overflow, the Pensacola Street Garage will become shared parking
- Designation of the top floor in each parking garage and the new Palm Court lot as “Overnight” parking (1545 spaces)
