Wertheim Center Parking Options
Important Student Parking Update
As part of a major improvement project, the Railroad Student Lot is being paved and upgraded with lighting and other enhancements designed to improve safety and the overall parking experience. The lot is expected to re-open by September 8.
We understand this may create challenges during the first few weeks of the semester and encourage students to plan ahead and consider alternative parking options.
Alternative Parking Options
In addition to the regular parking areas mentioned below, please consider the following parking options:
- Downtown Parking Garage - Students may also consider parking at the Public Parking Garage (Lot E), located at 622 S. Bronough Street.This is an approximately a 4-minute walk to the College of Business.
- Park at University Center B and Ride the Bus - Students may park in University Center B (adjacent to Doak Campbell Stadium) and take one of several Seminole Express bus routes to campus, including the Tomahawk, Renegade, and Gold Routes. This is an approximately a 15-minute bus ride to the College of Business. Bus information, maps, and real-time tracking are available at: transportation.fsu.edu/bus
- Hourly Parking Options - Additional parking may be available through the ParkMobile app, which allows users to locate and pay for hourly parking throughout the area.
August 25 Civic Center Limited Availability
The Civic Center Main Lot will have limited availability until 12 PM on Tuesday, August 25, due to a scheduled event. Students planning to be on campus before noon that day are strongly encouraged to utilize alternate parking.
Shared Parking Areas
These locations are open to faculty, staff, and students and are within a 7-minute walk:
- Tucker Civic Center Parking Lot
- Important: Access may be limited or temporarily closed during events held at the Tucker Civic Center.
- St. Augustine Garage
Student Parking Areas
The following parking lots are within a 10-minute walk and are available to students in addition to the shared options:
- Railroad Avenue Gravel Lot - Re-opening September 8!
- Theatre Lab – Student Lot
- Madison and Gay Lot
- Fiji Lot
Faculty & Staff Parking Areas
The following parking lots are within a 10-minute walk and are available to faculty & staff in addition to the shared options:
Plan Ahead
As the campus grows and events fluctuate, parking availability may vary throughout the semester. Drivers are encouraged to arrive early, especially on days when events are scheduled at the Tucker Civic Center.
