FSU Safe Ride
FSU Safe Ride is the new after-hours transit option available to all students, faculty, and staff with a valid FSU email address. All vehicles are FSU-branded electric or hybrid, equipped with GPS tracking, and offer accessible ADA-compliant options. Rides around FSU Tallahassee campuses are FREE, and rides with an off-campus starting or ending point within the service area are a flat rate of $6. Check the service area map in the app for details.
Catching a ride is easy:
- Download the FSU Safe Ride app on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Create an account using your FSU email address.
- Request a ride — Expected wait time is typically 15 minutes.
- Rides beginning and ending on FSU campus locations are FREE.
- Rides with an off-campus pickup or drop-off location within the service area are $6.
- FSU campus locations include Innovation Park, the College of Engineering, Seminole Legacy Golf Club, and the Intramural Fields.
Service Hours:
- Fall & Spring Semesters: 8PM – 2:30AM, daily
- Summer Semester: 8PM - 12AM, daily
- Service is available only when classes are in session and does not operate during University holidays or closures, such as Spring Break, Winter Break, and observed holidays.

Big Bend Transit - Gadsden County
If you live in Gadsden County, Big Bend Transit provides express transit service on two routes.
The Gadsden Express provides weekday and Saturday service between Quincy and Tallahassee with stops in Midway, TSC, and C.K. Steele Plaza.
The Havana Express provides weekday service between Havana and Lake Jackson Town Center in Tallahassee, where riders can connect with StarMetro's Forest and Big Bend routes.
This is a great, low-cost transportation option for FSU students, faculty, and staff who live in Gadsden County.
