FSU Safe Ride
Getting home safe just got easier! We're thrilled to announce the launch of FSU Safe Ride - the new after-hours transit option for rides on and around campus!
FSU Safe Ride provides free rides between FSU’s Tallahassee campuses, with pickups and drop-offs at FSU locations. Also, rides to or from off-campus locations within the service area are available for a $6 flat fare. See maps in app for details.
FSU Safe Ride utilizes GPS-tracked, FSU-branded electric or hybrid vehicles, including ADA-compliant options, all operated by professional drivers.
Catching a ride is easy:
- Download the FSU Safe Ride app on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Create an account using your FSU email address.
- Request a ride — just like Lyft! Expected wait time is typically 15 minutes.
- Fall & Spring Semesters: 8PM – 2:30AM, seven days a week
- Summer: 8PM – 12AM, seven days a week
- Service is available when classes are in session - Does not run on University holidays/closures (i.e., Spring Break, Winter Break, observed holidays)

- The program covers up to $10 per ride. If your ride costs more than $10, you'll pay the difference.

Capital City Pedicabs is now serving the FSU community with routes around downtown, Gaines Street, the All Saints District, Railroad Square, and College Town.

Big Bend Transit - Gadsden County
If you live in Gadsden County, Big Bend Transit provides express transit service on two routes.
The Gadsden Express provides weekday and Saturday service between Quincy and Tallahassee with stops in Midway, TSC, and C.K. Steele Plaza.
The Havana Express provides weekday service between Havana and Lake Jackson Town Center in Tallahassee where riders can connect with StarMetro’s Forest and Big Bend routes.
This is a great, low-cost transportation option for FSU students, faculty, and staff who live in Gadsden County.
